Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 13, 2026

Per the Israeli regulations governing web accessibility (Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations, 2013), this site is required to meet defined accessibility standards. The accessibility officer for this site is Shai Yallin. For any question or to report an accessibility issue, contact privacy@shaiyallin.com.

I invest ongoing time and effort in making this site accessible from the moment it was built. The site aims to be fully accessible in line with Israeli Regulation 35 and Standard SI 5568, which adopts WCAG 2.0. The chosen conformance level is AA. This page describes the tools and methods used to make the site accessible. If you find an accessibility issue, please report it to the email above.

How the site has been made accessible

  1. Adapted to all modern browsers.
  2. Adapted to all platforms: mobile, tablets, and desktops.
  3. Adapted for keyboard-only navigation.
  4. Adapted for people with partial or full visual impairment.

Changes made to support accessibility

  1. Testing and adjustments to ensure the site works across browsers and platforms (responsive layout).
  2. Keyboard reachability: every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard, with visible focus states and a skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
  3. Color-contrast review and the addition of explanatory alt text for images that convey information.
  4. Descriptions added for non-decorative images; decorative graphics are marked as such so screen readers skip them.
  5. Semantic HTML (proper headings, landmarks, form labels) so assistive technologies can navigate the structure correctly.
  6. Light and dark modes that follow the operating-system preference, both meeting contrast requirements.

No accessibility overlay or widget has been installed. The site is meant to be accessible to everyone without depending on any such add-on.
